Microsoft launched Cortana in India
Mircosoft India has launched its much awaited virtual assistant voice based software, Cortana in India on 12-11-15 for its Windows 10 users.This feature came in windows 10 in November update.
We would like to tell you what is cortana? Its basically same as SIRI and Google now, virtual assistant for Apple and Android phones respectively. On asked about the delay of bring this to India, Microsoft said, they were moulding cortana to recognize Indian accent. Apart from moulding Indian accent they also bought Indian voice to Cortana. They also said they worked on this software to make it more specific for India.
Cortana now also moulded in such a way that it can recognize Indian festivals and customs. For example If we ask cortana about what diwali is, reply comes as "in the courtyard of AI imagination, I would light up a thousand diyas."
Its also now customized to work on many apps, such as Bookmyshow, that means it can help you find and book tickets for your movies playing in theaters. Cortana also helps to look into your emails and remind you on the same also reminds you about the upcoming events and if incase you are not able to reach on the time specified it will reschedule that meeting for you.
lets see how Cortana goes on improving with all these useful features. We have to wait and watch how it gets adapted by Indians in ever increasing demand of Android and Apple smartphones.
