Lenovo K3 Note in-dept Review

With introduction and slow penetration of 4G network, many Smartphone making companies are coming up with their 4G enabled Smartphone’s. One of which is Lenovo. This is Lenovo’s sort of mid- range budget 4G Smartphone.

Display:

It comes with great IPS display, and viewing photos, watching movies on it looks awesome. Viewing angles are also good. The display is bright and vivid enough to view it on a bright day light or sunlight.

Performance:

Performance on the phone is ok not that great if we talk about gaming on it. It tends to lag sometimes if we play some heavy games like Asphalt 8 on highest graphics setting. But don’t get me wrong it’s not too much, that is it can help you get your work done. The display of the phone makes playing games on it a pleasure.

Camera:

The camera of this phone is nice and has 13MP dual LED flash. Image clicked by this comes out to be crisp and clear. In day light images look better then the low light ones. It can also record video’s upto 1080p resolution at 30 frames per sec’s. Also it has a good 5MP front facing camera which can handle taking selfie’s or groupie’s on the go. It also has a HDR feature which makes your photo look brighter when the product you are clicking is standing at the shadow area.

Storage:

Storage is not an issue in this Smartphone, as it has 16GB of internal memory of which user available memory is 11 to 10GB. But it also supports Micro SD card up to 32 GB’s which helps you to keep all your multimedia files on SD card.

Battery and Connectivity:

This phone has 2900 mAh battery which can last for a full working day for a moderate usage. But if you are a heavy user that is if you make too many calls and watch too many video then it will only last for 3-4hrs. The battery of the phone is user removable and not sealed inside as every phone today comes with sealed battery which is not the case with this phone.

This phone also supports 4G LTE network which helps browsing internet much faster that is upto 20Mbps and more. It also supports Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS Glonass, wifi hotspot, & wifi direct which works well on it.

Let’s come to some of its Pros and Cons:

Pros:

·         It supports multi colour LED notification light

·         Great IPS 1080p display looks awesome

·         OTG support

·         Camera performs is great in outdoor conditions

Cons:

·         No corning gorilla glass

·         Finger print magnet

·         Battery takes long time for charging and that also drains faster compared with other phones, but for normal usage it might work for you for a day

·         In normal usage it also gets little bit warm

·         Ringing volume is low so sometimes you can miss some calls.

Overall performance and final verdict:

Overall performance of the phone is good. You can say it as average performance, but for that price it’s great. Overall the look and feel of the phone is good. It has a rubber finish on the back cover of black variant of the phone. Holding the phone feel little bit big as it has a large 5.5 inch screen. And one hand usage of the phone becomes difficult at times.

The phone also supports digital Dolby sound feature which cannot be observed or tested as digital Dolby sound files are not that easily available for an average user. But if you are watching movies on it you can switch on this feature which makes the sound of the movie louder. Speaker gets blocked if the phone is kept on the table as the speaker is positioned at the back side of the phone besides the camera.
