Facebook's new "like" button
Heys guys, Just two days back facebook has globally rolled out its Reactions button, which is integrated in the like button. Which means when ever you hover over the like button on your PC you will get six smiles which are as:
And when you are on FB on your phone on google chrome you can long press on thew like button then you will get all the about reactions to express.
Actually for research purpose this button was unveiled in October for the user of Spain and Ireland and there was big buzz related to not having a dislike button on the same. On twitter there was #dislikebutton conversations going on. For those who wanted dislike button, the reaction from facebook was to ask them to put angry button.
Sammi Krug, Product manager: said in his blog post that
“We've been listening to people and know that there should be more ways to easily and quickly express how something you see in News Feed makes you feel'.
The familiar `like' button with a thumbsup image will still be there, alongside the new emoticon icons. “We understand that this is a big change, and want to be thoughtful about rolling this out,“ Krug said. “For more than a year we have been conducting global research including focus groups and surveys to determine what types of reactions people would want to use most.“
The expanded reactions feature had been tested in several markets and is now rolling out globally, Krug added.
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg: said on his page “I've spent a lot of time thinking about the right way to do this with our team. One of my goals was to make it as simple as pressing and holding the Like button,“ , immediately drawing tens of thousands of `like,' `love' and other expressions.
