Tap to Translate for Android

Hey guys, Recently Google has made its app named "Google Translate" to work on any screen, which they call it as, "Tap to Translate".

 Yes you heard it right. It works on any app running on your android phone. 
To know more how it works and how to enable the same, follow the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Firstly download "Google Translate" app on your android device. follow the link below:

 Step 2: Turn On Tap to Translate:



  • Open the Google Translate app .
  • In the top right, tap Menu Menuand then Settings and then Tap to Translate.
  • Tap Enable Tap to Translate. To disable Tap to Translate, tap again.
  • If asked to allow Tap to Translate to draw over other apps, tap Allow.

    • Step 3: Now translate the word you want to from any app by following below steps:
    • Open any app on your Android device.
    • Select the text you want to translate.
    • Copy the text.
    • In the top right corner of the screen, tap Translate .
    • The translation shows in a Google Translate window inside the app
    This is how it will look:



    Step 4: You can also do following:
    • Enter a new word or phrase: Tap New translation.
    • To hear the translated text: Tap Listen Listen.
    • Change the languages: Tap the Down arrow Down Arrow. Then, tap the desired language.
    • Copy the translated text: Tap More Moreand then Copy.
    • Open Google Translate: Tap More Moreand then Open in main app

    Google Translate works on all Android phones running on Android version 4.2 and above

    Google can translate into 103 languages.

    It also works offline. To enable offline translate you need to follow below mentioned steps:

    Step 1: Tap on the arrow next to the language name and 
    Step 2: Download the language package and voila you are now ready to Translate in offline mode too. It works with Tap on translate too.

    You can also translate words by just snapping the image of a particular word
