"Google Duo" - video calling app by Google

Hey Guys, Google have launched its video calling app named "Google Duo" in India on 15th August, 2016.



It was initially announced in Google I/O on 18th May, 2016, at that time Google had also announced to introduce its instant messaging app named "Google Allo". This is also going to launch in India very soon.

So let us know some of (i.e.Google Duo) its basis features:

  • You can do video call at HD 720p 
  • Google says, they have also optimized this app for low bandwidth mobile networks
  • "Knock Knock"- this feature helps user to watch the video of the person calling you on your smartphone without even picking up his video call.
  • It uses your existing contact list to do video call.
  • It also automatically switches between WiFi and Mobile data.
  • Google's End-to-end_encryption is available by default on this app
  • This app also supports Google_Assistant.
